Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park is a "local" park to me. It sits in the mountains of Colorado about 5 hours from where I live. I have not been there yet, but my husband and I plan on going this summer. My husband has some crazy idea that him and I are going … Continue reading Black Canyon of the Gunnison Star Block – 3 of 59

Fixing my Great Grandmother’s Quilt

March 6, 2018March 6, 2018Leave a comment

Growing up we had a quilt in my house. This quilt was used, loved, and washed. It would travel with me and my sisters on vacations and to summer camp. It certainly got a lot of use. Over the years it started to wear and tear. I never thought anything of it until I started … Continue reading Fixing my Great Grandmother’s Quilt

Now that my nephew's birthday gift has been given I can show you what he got. This year he turned 4 and I decided to make him a quilt for his bed. I went with minions because honestly what 4 year old doesn't like minions. I wanted to turn this panel into a twin size … Continue reading Minions Panel

Last Christmas I made 3 identical-ish American flag quilts for my family. They are small wall hangings. The kicker is I really bought enough fabric to make 4. I just never finished the one I planned to make for myself. So I decided to get that fabric out last week and finish that quilt. Its … Continue reading December 2016 UFO => December 2017 Quilt

Quiltville Mystery – Week 3 – Diamonds

December 12, 2017Leave a comment

Week 3! This week we are making diamonds. Lots of them. You can find Bonnie's instruction here. I am not actually done with my flying geese from last week, but that is okay because they are all cut and I just knockout a few when I have ten minutes. Hopefully I will be able to … Continue reading Quiltville Mystery – Week 3 – Diamonds

About the Author

Hello my name is Julia Yandura. I started quilting in 2015 and fell in love. This was around the time my husband and I made a big move to Colorado, originally from Pittsburgh, PA.

Once I started quilting I just could not stop. I wanted to learn more and more and wanted to complete more and more. I hope to complete 10 projects in the year 2017 (fingers crossed). I decided to start sharing my adventures in the quilting world thus this blog. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. So let’s Quilt To It!
